PCL becomes WOS-FORUM

• The first edition of Paris Capitale du Libre took place on June 2006, following the impetus of ALEXANDRE ZAPOLSKY, FniLL President (National Federation of Open Source Software Industry);
• Since its creation, Paris Captale du Libre, becomes one of the most important events dedicated to Open Source Softwareworlwide;
• Every year, Paris Capitale du Libre, brings together different experts of Open Source market from all over the world. So it changes the name and becomes WORLD OPEN SOURCE FORUM ;
• Ambitions of WOS-Forum are the same as for PCL, at the international level :

WOS-FORUM 2009, is:

• Prestige event known as INTERNATIONAL, organised by FniLL (National Federation of Open Source Industry);
• More than 3000 VISITORS, 60 PARTNERS, 50 INTERNATIONAL SPEAKERS are expected;
• The principle of organization: 1 DAY OF HIGH LEVEL CONFERENCES on the economic & strategic issues related to Open Source software, animated by the best experts of nowadays;
• The main subject is : "Open Source - a sollution to the economic recession";
• Spaces dedicated to Recruitment (over 500 offers) and Training, to Professional sollutions and Open Source Discovery;
• Lutèce d' Or awarding ceremony which will take place during a dinner joining together the 200 personalities from Open Source software field comming from all over the world.

• Organised with the support of CHRISTIAN PONCELET, PRESIDENT OF SENATand of MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, FINANCE AND EMPLOYMENT;

• 2 DAY OF HIGH LEVEL CONFERENCES on the economic & strategic issues related to Open Source software, animated by the best experts of nowadays;
• Main topic : BUILDING THE «EUROPE OF OPEN SOURCE» AND BOOSTING DIGITAL ECONOMY;
• The "Track OFF"organised by communities and Open Source associations ;
• Hosting for the first time the « EUROPEAN OPEN SOURCE LAWYERS EVENT »;
• Spaces dedicated to Recruitment (over 500 offers) and Training, to Professional sollutions and Open Source Discovery;
• Lutèce d' Or awarding ceremony which took place during a dinner joining together the 350 personalities from Open Source software field comming from all over the world.

FniLL, the Organizer of WOS-FORUM:

FNILL is the National Federation of Open Source Software Industry. It represents the professionals of Open Source Software in France.

The main mission is to federate the whole of the economic sector of Open Source software around 3 objectives:

• To ensure the representation of Open Source software industry , at the national, European and world wide levels;
• To promote specificities of Open Source Software Industry and OSS;
• To defend the interests of its professionals.

It succeeded, in 2007, the ASS2L (French Association in OS Software Service companies) created in 2004. It is composed of more than 90 members.
