CATEGORIES
1. Community action This prize aims to reward one action, one struggle, an engagement of one community of Open Source.
It will be awarded to one community or to its members.

2. The best action of Open Source Software promotion carried out
Concerns all the actions aims to promote and stimulate the use of Open Source Software.
This prize will award one Association, LUG or any enother system

3. The best Open Source Software development and/or innovation carried out
This prize aims to award an individual or a corporate body who has created Open Source software or participated in the development of a software which is a technological innovation or innovation in terms of use or service. This project must be under a licence approved by FSF or OSI as Open Source software.
This prize will award an individual or a corporate body who has develloped this innovation .

4. The best Open Source Software project carried out by a local community, a hospital center
5. The best Open Source Software project carried out by an administration, public bodies
6. The best Open Source Software project carried out by SME
7. The best Open Source Software project carried out by a big company
These four prizes will award an organisation for the implementation of Open Source solution. The main standarts of deliberation : :
  • quality of the impemented solution,
  • the way it has been carried out,
  • the consequences of this project on/for the ecosysteme of OSS,
  • the relations maintained with the communities of Open Source.
This prize will award the recipient organisation of the project : in case when a project was realised by a provider organisation, the prize will award the recipient of the project by mentioning the provider.

8. The best foreign project in Open Source Software carried out
This trophy will award a foreign organisation for carreing out Open Source software solution, taking into consideration:
  • quality of the impemented solution,
  • the way it has been carried out,
  • the consequences of this project on/for the ecosysteme of Open Source Software,
  • the relations maintained with the communities of Open Source.
This prize will award the recipient organisation of the project : in case when a project was realised by a provider organisation, the prize will award the recipient of the project by mentioning the provider.

9. The best Open Source strategy implemented
This prize aims to award the global and strategic step of adoption of Open Source software.
It will award one organisation which has applied this type of policy in its information system.

10. Personality of the year
This prize aims to reward a person who has engaged a lot for Open Source development.
It can be an individual, corporate body or administration

11. Jury award
A favourite project of all members of Jury.
It will be selected between all the candidats of the Lutèce d'Or.


If the application form is submitted by a provider
  • A provider who submits an application on behalf of a client, points up the initiative pursued by his client.
  • So, the prize will award the recipient of the project.
  • But, to bring an objective recognition and visibility to the provider, provider will be mentioned in all communications regarding the project
  • For example: In 2007, one of the nominees for The best action of promotion of Open Source software carried out, was the MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, a project realised by CIRAD.
  • If the client organization submits its application form directly, it has a choice to decide whether or not the name of his provider will be mentioned.
